"Something old, something new" is an adage familiar to brides.
But the words have taken on new meaning as the name of a national fund-raising event sponsored by the Making Memories Breast Cancer Foundation in Portland, Ore.
A Wheaton shop this month is one of 134 locations around the country where donors can drop off wedding gowns. The dresses will be sold this spring at hotels or convention centers in Portland, Seattle, Chicago, New York, Atlanta, Dallas, Phoenix and Los Angeles.
