Turkmenistan is producing a little less than 200,000 b/d of crude oil and condensate, compared to 160.876 b/d in 2001, 143,600 b/d in 2000 and 81,000 b/d in 1995. Its production of natural gas this year is planned to reach 71 BCM, compared to 51.3 BCM in 2001; but actual output this year may not even reach 65 BCM, with the government plan for oil and condensate production set at 220,000 b/d in 2002 and 270,000 in 2003.
