In high school, Jenny (Lumley) Krause excelled in swimming.
But lately, the 28-year-old has added biking and running to her repertoire.
The 5-foot-6, 134-pound Venice resident has combined the three sports successfully and has emerged a successful triathlete.
When Krause was 15 years old, she competed in her first triathlon; she was hooked.
"It was a local triathlon and I decided to just enter so I did it on my mountain bike," said Krause, who still holds 100-meter breaststroke and 100-meter butterfly swim records at Venice High.
