Demand for blister and other high visibility packaging in the US is forecast to expand nearly six percent yearly to $7.8 billion in 2006, reaching over 23.5 billion units. Driving increases will be high visibility's marketing, labor saving and source reduction capabilities over paper, paperboard and foil. Best opportunities are anticipated for carded blister packs and clamshell packaging due to their high marketing appeal and display characteristics. Manufacturers of automotive aftermarket, toiletry and other items are increasingly using high visibility packaging to add perceived value to their merchandise. These and other trends are presented in Blister & Other High Visibility Packaging, a new study from The Freedonia Group, Inc., a Cleveland-based industrial market research firm.
