PROJECT OVERVIEW:
The local state-owned TURKMENNEFTEGAS recently awarded a construction contract to a French joint venture for a planned diesel hydrotreating plant. The partners involved in the undertaking include TECNIP and COFLEXIP. According to the terms of the lump sum, turnkey, award the partnership will be responsible for designing and building the new facility.
Construction plans call for building a complex with an installed production capacity of 1.5 million tons per year of hydrotreated diesel that will contain less than 10 parts per million (ppm) of sulfur. As a result, there will be 20 tons per day of sulfur by-product. The plant will comprise: - A hydrotreating unit; - A sulfur recovery facility based on TECHNIP-COFLEXIP's
