PROJECT OVERVIEW:
The local MINISTRY OF ELECTRICITY & WATER (MEW) is currently gearing-up to invite bids for a consulting contract regarding the expansion of the phase 3 Hidd power and desalination complex. The scope of the work is expected to include: - Design; - Tender evaluation; - Procurement; - Construction supervision.
Phase 3 will reportedly involve: - The installation of a 60 million gallon per day desalination
plant based on multi-stage flash (MSF) technology; - The incorporation of a 220 Kv transmission system.
