Tradition says a white dress, a church, a cake, and some punch. Some contemporary brides want their wedding to be different, to incorporate new ideas with the old. So how do tradition and new ideas mix with Mississippi brides? Each one of these three clung to the white dress and the cake but opted for a different location to make her wedding unique. One chose a beach, one an historic bed and breakfast, and one her university's brand new chapel. Each bride added her own touches to make her wedding destination perfect for her special day, blending traditions with fresh, new ideas.
