SOUTH VENICE -- Is Venice ready for a 24-hour wedding chapel?
The Rev. Pat Charnley thinks so. She recently posted a notice in front of The Church of the Angels in South Venice, advertising wedding ceremonies at any hour in the church's 70-seat chapel.
"I thought of calling it 'Las Venice Wedding Chapel,'" said Charnley, alluding to the 24-hour chapels common in Las Vegas, where, it happens, she was once married. "But that sounded a bit too crazy for Venice."
