We hadn't gotten as far as lap 15 when the cool helmet stopped working. Normally, that's not a huge issue, but the way mine was designed I was depending on it more than I knew. When the system quit working--not only was the helmet air-conditioned but the seat was air-conditioned--I didn't have nearly enough insulation in the car. I was so dependent on that cool air blowing through everything, and when it stopped blowing through the seat, it got hotter than I ever could imagine. I wasn't sure I could make it.
