THEY MET AT A BAR. Amos Adler walked into a party at the Chick 'n' Deli, grabbed a drink and sat down next to Danielle Keystone. He was in his post-London School of Economics, pre-entrepreneurial phase--a software developer for Bell. She was in first-year law at Western, invited to this same fete by a friend they'd both known forever. They sparked. His eyes may have fixed for a shy second on his hands after he explained what he did for a living, and she said, "Good job. Now, do you need a wife?"
