Heading into Thursday night's series opener with St. Charles East, St. Charles North coach Jim Smedley said he thought his team was right where it should be at 6-6-1 overall, 3-3 in the Upstate Eight Conference.
"We've had a real tough schedule," Smedley said. "This is about what I expected. We've played Hinsdale Central, Benet Academy, New Trier, Schaumburg, Brother Rice, then got into our conference and started out with the bigger schools in Bartlett, Neuqua and Waubonsie."
