Forget about the stagnation in most parts of the German food industry. The dynamism of frozen foods was demonstrated once more at the recently held InterCool fair in Dusseldorf, which drew 28,000 visitors--up from 25,850 in 2000.
Processors, wholesalers and caterers were all there to check out the fair and its sister shows InterMeat and the dairy-oriented InterMopro, which boasted a total of 936 exhibitors. Foreign interest continued to increase. Of the InterCool exhibitors, 27% were non-German--up from 23% in 2000.
