High crude oil prices in recent years and expectations that they will remain strong in the near future have made Turkmenistan more attractive. But there is plenty of oil in the markets and the IEA on Sept. 9 warned that the raging pace of demand is slowing. It said in its monthly report: "What is clear for now is that supply is running ahead of demand and stocks are building".
