Turkmenistan is producing about 200,000 b/d of crude oil and condensate, compared to 162,000 b/d in 2001, 144,000 b/d in 2000 and 84,000 b/d in 1995. Its production of natural gas this year is planned to reach 63-64 BCM, up from 59.09 BCM in 2003. In the first seven months of 2004, Turkmenistan raised natural gas production 1.1% year-on-year to 35.2 BCM, according to the National Institute of Statistics and Information. In this period Turkmenistan produced 5.58m tons of crude oil and condensate, up 0.4% year-on-year. The state-owned TurkmenNeft produced 4.48m tons of this.
