PROJECT OVERVIEW:
In so doing, project management will be completed by an in-house team of QAFAC's shareholders with the main responsibility assumed by CHINESE PETROLEUM CORP. (CPC) of Taiwan. The cost to complete the undertaking, by some time in early 2008, has been estimated at $600,000,000.
QAFAC is engaged in the production and export of MTBE. The company is a joint venture owned by QATAR PETROLEUM CO. (QPC - 50%), CHINESE PETROLEUM CO. (CPC - 20%), LEE CHANG YUNG INVESTMENTS CORP. (15%) and INTERNATIONAL OCTANE (15%).
