COBURG - Luxury motor-home maker Monaco Coach Corp. said Wednesday that the industry is off to a very strong start in 2004, as the firm reported record earnings for the first quarter.
Monaco reported profit of $11.9 million on sales of $355 million for the quarter ended April 3. Sales were up 30 percent from $273.6 million in the year-earlier quarter, and profit was nearly triple the $4.3 million of a year earlier.
