Artist Sol Schwartz never intended to specialize in drawing musicians.
"It happened by accident," Schwartz said. "I used to make little sketches in the corners of my programs when I attended concerts. One day my wife said, 'Why don't you get a pad to draw them in?'"
Schwartz took her advice. In the next few years, he completed thousands of drawings, including sketches of such musical superstars as Itzhak Perlman, Emanuel Ax and Seiji Ozawa.
