When 5-year-old Dillon Christensen called for help and then went under in the lap pool at Lively Park Swim Center on Monday afternoon, lifeguards didn't seem to notice, says his mother, Courtney Christensen.
A nearby lifeguard still did nothing, Christensen says, when she jumped into the pool, fully clothed, and pulled her son to safety. "I reached under water and pulled him out, exhausted, tired and clinging to me, holding on to me for dear life," the mother said.
