In case you feel like Regis and Kelly just aren't local enough for you, be assured that feel-good TV shows all about Elgin will be returning.
The city council this week backed a plan to spend $74,000 so a company can produce half-hour cable shows featuring good things that happen in Elgin. BTE Video, which won the contract to provide local programming, also will produce a monthly cable show with interviews of the mayor and other elected officials.
