PROJECT OVERVIEW:

The government of Turkmenistan recently awarded 2 construction contracts to the France-based BOUYGUES GROUP. The awards call for building a university town and a national press complex.

The university town is to be built in central Ashgabat. The project, covering 20,950 square meters, will include: - The main university building; - A library and reading room, - An hostel for 100 students, - Allied facilities

As things currently stand, the $40,000,000 construction works are tentatively scheduled to begin in April 2005 and be completed by April 2007.
