About the Author
Hugo Decleir is a glaciologist and Antarctic expert. He is a professor in physical geography at the Free University of Brussels, where he teaches climatology, glaciology, and cartography. Claude De Broyer is a marine biologist at the Belgian Royal Institute of Natural Sciences in Brussels. His scientific interests cover biodiversity and ecology of Crustacea, biodiversity of polar seas, and conservation of subterranean habitats and karstic sites.
