About the Author
Gervasio Sánchez was named UNESCO Special Peace Envoy in 1998 on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, received the Human Rights Award for Journalism in 1997, and in 1996 was presented with the Cirilo Rodríguez Award, the most prestigious award of the Spanish government to journalists working abroad as special envoys.
