About the Author
Kenneth (Kal) Kalnasy served with the First Marine Division in Korea, making the Inchon landing, fighting at the Chosin Reservoir (among the "Chosin Few"), participating in the withdrawal of the Marine forces and evacuation from Hungnam. He received three Purple Hearts. When his son Steven asked about the Korean War, Kalnasy and his wife Anette answered by writing this book. The authors live in Las Vegas and write children's stories. Their first children's book "Tales of the Pekingese Kids" will be released in the spring of 2001.
