About the Author Philip Hoag lives in the state of Montana with his wife Arlene and their five children. Over the last ten years Philip has been involved in the design, organization and construction of numerous large underground shelter projects. Philip gives lectures and teaches classes on general preparedness and shelter building. He lectures at Preparedness shows around the US and has written articles, which have appeared in American Sur-vival Guide and the Preparedness Journal. He has also been interviewed on numerous national radio talk shows, including two appearances on Art Bell, numerous interviews on Chuck Harder, Roger Freidenberg, Stan Soloman, and one segment of the Strange Universe TV show. Philip does consulting in the area of shelter and systems design. In order to help people in their preparations for survival, Philip has started a company, Yellowstone River Trading, which makes available long-term food storage programs and preparedness equipment. Philip is one of a few civilians in the United States with experience in the area of shelter life support systems, including power generation and air filtration.
