About the Authors
Steven E. O'Hara is the Melvin R. Lohmann Professor in Engineering for the
School of Architecture at Oklahoma State University. He has taught
fundamental and advanced courses in concrete design, structural analysis,
steel, and masonry, as well as the Architectural Design and Development
studio course. Professor O'Hara earned Bachelor of Architectural Studies
and Master of Architectural Engineering degrees from Oklahoma State
University. He is a licensed engineer in Oklahoma.
David Kent Ballast is the owner of Architectural Research Consulting, a firm offering information and management services to architects, interior designers, and the construction industry. A licensed architect in the state of Colorado and an NCIDQ-certified interior designer, he has written many books on design topics, including Interior Construction and Detailing for Designers and Architects (Professional Publications, Inc.)
