Duckboy Way
- Book Review,
by PAUL STANTON

Midwest Book Review
Paul Stanton is a man with a non-stop sense of humor. The Duckboy Way, Or Quack In The Saddle Again is a quirky mix of humorous photos, yarns and comic captions taken from Duckboy Cards and Duckboy Calendars, and which range from the mild chuckle to falling-out-of-your-chair, rolling-on-the-floor kind of helpless laughter. The Duckboy Way, Or Quack In The Saddle Again satirizes loggers, yuppies, cowboys, politicians, coffee junkies, pets, machismo, and more.

Book Description
From Paul Stanton's popular Duckboy line of postcards and calendars comes this ten-year collection of more than 100 humorous black-and-white photos. Chuckle, chortle, and belly laugh to "Where Jerky Comes From," "The Trouble with a Short Horse in the Rockies," "Deprogramming a Vegetarian in Cattle Country," "It's Easy to Spot the 'Tourista' in a New Mexico Caf," and many others. The Duckboy Way also features several of Stantos's comic yarns, among them "How To Make Cowboy Coffee," "So You Want To Be a Mountain Man?" and "Memoirs of an Old Duckboy." Paul Stanton's photos and tales satirize loggers, yuppies, cowboys, politicians, kids, gun enthusiasts, coffee junkies, pets, outdoor sports, machismo, and much more. The popularity of these hilarious western photos has spread throughout the United States and abroad.

From the Publisher
Paul Stanton began making scenic black-and-white photos of his native Montana as a teenager. Ten years ago, he founded Duckboy Cards when he discovered that his quirky, humorous postcards-created as a gag for friends-were very much in demand. His wife, Laurie, joined him in the postcard trade full-time two years later. Duckboy Cards is now a growing business selling cards, calendars, and other items throughout the West, Southwest, and Minnesota. Paul's commentaries and articles have been featured in magazines and on National Public Radio, and he has recorded "The Duckboy Song," for which the business is named.
