About the Author
BRYANT F. TOLLES, JR., is the Director of the Museum Studies Program and Professor of History and Art History at the University of Delaware. He has written and edited many books, including Resort Hotels of the Adirondacks: The Architecture of a Summer Paradise, 1850-1950 (UPNE 2003), Summer Cottages in the White Mountains: The Architecture of Leisure and Recreation, 1870 to 1930 (UPNE, 2000), The Grand Resort Hotels of the White Mountains: A Vanishing Architectural Legacy (1998), and New Hampshire Architecture: An Illustrated Guide (UPNE, 1979). He resides in Wilmington, Delaware, and Center Sandwich, New Hampshire.
