The Official 2001-02 University of Iowa Men's Basketball Guide, produced primarily for use by media covering the Hawkeyes, contains everything you'd ever want to know about Coach Steve Alford's nationally ranked squad. It's the 100th season of Iowa basketball, so this year's guide has an abundance of historical information contained within its pages. The guide includes a preview and analysis of the 2001-02 Hawkeyes, sketches about the players and coaching staff, previews about Iowa's opponents, a review of the Hawks' 23-victory season, a detailed UI basketball record book, and a full description about the University, its staff, its programs and its facilities. Despite losing Dean Oliver to graduation, Iowa returns a talented team in 2001-02. Leading the way is All-America forward Reggie Evans, the nation's top rebounder a year ago. He's joined by seniors Luke Recker, Rod Thompson, Duez Henderson and Ryan Hogan. Sophomore center Jared Reiner also appears to be a future all-star candidate. This marks the first time that the official University of Iowa Men's Basketball Guide has been available to Hawkeye fans in off-campus discount and retail stores.
