In this science fiction short story anthology, diverse players tackle a variety of excellent, good, and mediocre stories, with the positives much outweighing the negatives. There are some truly classic tales here: "By His Bootstraps," by Robert A. Heinlein; "'Repent, Harlequin!' Said the Ticktockman," by Harlan Ellison; "R.U.R.," by Karel Capek—to name just three. Among the offerings are stories by authors Kurt Vonnegut, Fredric Brown, A.E. van Vogt, Octavia E. Butler, C.L. Moore, and Connie Willis. The readers are mostly well known and of vast talent: Richard Dreyfuss, Charles Durning, Tom Poston, Lynne Thigpen, Rene Auberjonois, Barbara Rush, Robin Williams, among others. Truly well done.
