These ten stories from four American authors include such well-known classics as Twain's "The Celebrated Jumping Frog of Calaveras County" and "The One-Million Pound Bank Note," Stephen Crane's "The Bride Comes to Yellow Sky," Ambrose Bierce's "An Occurrence at Owl Creek Bridge," and Jack London's "To Build a Fire." Patrick Fraley offers an excellent reading of the four Twain tales, while Bruce Robertson makes London's two stories come alive.
