The First Snap-Fit Handbook: Creating Attachments for Plastics Parts
- Book Review,
by Paul R. Bonenberger

From Book News, Inc.
Bonenberger, an engineer with General Motors, calls his reference and design handbook the first for two reasons: as far as he knows, no one else has yet written about applying the attachment technology called snap-fits or integral attachments to plastics; and readers who know nothing about them should be able to start their learning here. The previous literature, he says, has focused on the performance of particular designs, so that new designers had to reinvent the approach unless they were lucky enough to apprentice to a veteran. He takes a systems approach, which emphasizes the interface between parts as a whole.Book News, Inc.®, Portland, OR
