During a lull in the fighting, Amuro runs to a refugee colony to search for his mother, only to have the war come home as he must defend them both from Zeon soldiers. Both sides' weaponry escalates as the Federation produces the Guncannon and Guntank, and Zeon responds with a mighty new Zaku, piloted by Ranba Ral.
