September 11, 2001 changed us forever. Images fill our minds, hearts, and souls - planes crashing, towers crumbing, people running and staggering from the smoke and flames, courageous firefighters, thousands donating blood, millions of dollars donated to relief funds, prayer and candle vigils, emails of comfort circulating around the world, hands held, tears shed.
