About the Author
John H. Chambers was born in Queensland. He holds a Ph.D. from Columbia University and most recently was a visiting professor at City University of New York. Dr. Chambers has passed more than half his life in Australia and has travelled extensively in the Pacific. As a teacher in Australia he had to offer New Zealand history as a special topic and has also worked in New Zealand. He has five degrees from universities and colleges on three continents and is the author of A Traveller's History of Australia.
