The text opens by focusing on academics: courses and registration, choosing a major, grading issues, how to study, financial aid, and more. It then proceeds to discuss personal finances, housing, health, and nutrition. The chapter entitled "Getting Ready for the Real World" contains many helpful tips on job hunting, writing rsums and cover letters, researching job opportunities, and interviewing.
