A Guide to Beginner Tumbling FROM THE PUBLISHER
Building a first rate team of athletes takes discipline, dedication, and hard work on the part of the coach as well as each member. Today's competitive gymnasts and cheerleading squads are expected to perform some of the most complex and strenuous tumbling and gymnastic combinations in the field. Concentrating on drills that teach body control, body awareness, and tumbling techniques, author and tumbling coach Mike Ferralli has written an informative manual that outlines the essential elements necessary in developing skilled and healthy athletes. This well-illustrated guide is filled with step-by-step instructions, detailed descriptions, and excellent photos showing correct and incorrect form and positioning, as well as safety, nutritional, and conditioning information.
Perfect for beginning squads, schools, community leagues, and those who have limited space or equipment, A Guide to Beginner Tumbling emphasizes the importance of motivation and promoting a winning attitude to the overall success of a team.
A Guide to Beginner Tumbling is currently being used by the North Carolina State University Physical Education department as the manual for gymnastics classes.
