Iceland (Islands in the Sea) - Book Review,
by William Russell

From School Library Journal Gr 3-5-Each of these series entries takes a look at various aspects-the history, wildlife, people, geography-of its subject island(s). Other than the fact that they are all ``islands in the sea,'' these land masses have little in common. Yet they are all presented in a 24-page format, over half of which is devoted to full-color, captioned photographs. The books have an uncluttered and nonthreatening appearance that will appeal to reluctant readers, but all of the information can be found in basic encyclopedia articles or books on the controlling countries. Acceptable additions to introduce students to these areas of the world.-Douglas K. Dillon, Lakota Freshman School, West Chester, Copyright 1995 Cahners Business Information, Inc.
