Eldercare: A Clinical Primer for Volunteers
- Book Review,
by George Weber

Book Description
The plight of the elderly is a growing concern throughout Western society. In Dr. George H. Weber's new release ELDERCARE: A CLINICAL PRIMER FOR VOLUNTEERS, aspects of caregiving and volunteering with the elderly are discussed in a compassionate and practical manner. Through various techniques, from affirmation and support to encouraging expression and active listening, ELDERCARE discusses how important it is for society to look after and respect this often neglected segment of society. Dr. Carole Cox, Professor at Fordham University says ELDERCARE "fills a noticeable gap in the literature related to volunteering." With 40 case examples to study, volunteers and caregivers have many real-life experiences to draw on to employ in their own work.
