Nancy Shaw Reed began writing poetry in 1995, however the majority of her work has been written within the last year. While her poems deal with a variety of subject matter, her main focus is giving comfort and encouragement to those dealing with chronic illness. She, herself, is battling Fibromyalgia and Multiple Sclerosis. In late 2002, she began making bookmarks with her poems on them for friends and family. That was the beginning of what has become an "angel network" of volunteers giving her bookmarks out free in hospitals, doctors offices and hospices. This network has spread into 5 states and now overseas. She is quick to give God all the credit and describes herself as simply "a listener." She hopes this book will comfort and encourage all who read it.
