Gr 5-8-Attractively designed and easy to use, each book begins with a contents page that indicates which recipes are "easy," "medium," or "difficult"; most of them fall in the "medium" range. The 17 recipes, each presented on a colorful spread with numbered instructions, are preceded by overviews of the country's food and standard ingredients. A strip across the top of the page indicates preparation time, level of difficulty, and number of servings. Two color photos accompany each recipe, one illustrating a process and a larger one showing the finished dish.
