Word Search Puzzles to Keep You Sharp
- Book Review,
by Mark Danna

Book Description
You'll need an eagle eye to complete these 60 challenging themed word searches: "White on Schedule" contains words of things that are white--such as mashed potatoes and underwear. Some of the grids break out of the traditional box. "Off and Running" is shaped like a horse and contains references to horse racing, while "Give me a Break!" is mug-shaped with words and phrases associated with coffee. There are puzzles to challenge your thinking skills. To complete "Bad Ideas for Movie Sequels" you'll need your knowledge of movies as well as your sense of humor, and for "Abbr.-ations" you'll need to decipher abbreviations to come up with the word list. In "Black Hole" puzzles, the letters in the center of the grid are missing, and once you've figured out what they are, they'll spell out a quip. A fun way to sharpen your powers of observation.

Word Search Puzzles to Keep You Sharp

FROM THE PUBLISHER

Start solving these incredible word search puzzles to find out. They'll keep your mind stimulated and provide a whole lot of challenging fun in the process. What makes this word search collection different from any others you've seen? More than half of the 60 puzzle grids form distinctive pictures, such as a galloping horse, a tennis racket, and other lively shapes. There's also a wide range of puzzle variations. In the three rebus puzzles, a set of letters appears in the grid as a little drawing. The consecutive letters Car, for example, appear every time in one grid as a car. In some other puzzles, it's up to you to fill in the letters that are purposely missing in the grid. In a few cases, you'll need to uncover the word list from a set of clues. And as a bonus, each puzzle contains a hidden message. So if you're "Rarin' to Go," turn your attention to the first puzzle. Then flex your mental muscles straight through the last one: "End So It Goes!"
