Secrets 11 quite honestly is my favorite anthology from Red Sage so
far. All four novellas had me glued to their stories until the very
end. I was just disappointed that these talented ladies novellas weren't
longer.
In Masquerade by Jennifer Probst, Hailey is tired of being a good girl, so
when she gets the invitation to her boss' weekend party, where anything goes,
she is determined to go and not only hook up with a guy, but her boss. She
figuresthis will be the perfect opportunity to be with him and havehim
realise she is the perfect woman for him.Michael, is not only her best
friend, but he has been in love with her for years. He decides to go to
the party andshow her that what she wants has been waiting for her all
along.
Jess Michaels' Ancient Pleasures takes us to Egypt in the year 1897, where
Isabella Winslow is investigating the tomb of a well known courtesan in the days
of Ancient Egypt. She is there to find out why her conservative husband changed
so much after his exploration of the tomb. A change that lead to his
death. The last thing she expected to see isan American.Jake
Turner has come to Egypt to explore the tomb, but he is surprisingly attracted
to Isabella Winslow, the English widow who is trying to hide her passionate
nature behind her Victorian attitudes.Ancient Pleasures was one of my
favorites in Secrets 11, and that surprised me considering historicals are not
among my favorite things to read. You never knew what was going to happen at
every turn as the curse takes over Isabella, Jake and their parties at
inopportune times.
Manhunt by Kimberly Dean is going to be one of the mosttalked about
novellas in a long time. Manhunt is the highly anticipated sequel to her novella
in Secrets 9 Wanted.One minute Taryn was taking a long hot shower, when all
of a sudden in comes when she heard a noise in her apartment. Going to
investigate, the assistant D.A. finds herself grabbed from behind. Her
assailant turns out to be Michael Tucker, a police detective who she just
charged with murder.
Michael needs to convince Taryn that he is innocent of the charges and to
help him prove that innocence. He determines that the best way to do this is to
seduce her, but will she let herself be seduced?
MANHUNT is the most erotic of the four novellas and will have you wishing
that it was longer. I cannot wait to see what Ms Dean comes up with next.
Wake Me by Angela Knight is a Sleeping Beauty tale with a twist. In
this version, Radolf is trapped inside a painting and he is only there
until a woman comes to him in the painting to release him from the
spell.Chloe is that person, but he has to convince her that thedreams
she has been having about her innermost fantasies arereal.
Angela Knight, is one of my personal favorite authors and I loved WAKE ME. It
was so hot that you could see the steam come off the pages as, you wait to see
what fantasy Chloe and Radolf will act out next.
SECRETS 11 should defnitely be on everyone's Christmas lists.
