Ultimate purpose was extermination. Has value as guide book for tourists, esp. Jewish tourists. 187 illustrations included are author's creation.
About the Author Professor Emeritus of Art History and Archaeology, Duke University. Recipient of many honors, awards, and research and publication grants. Bibliography includes five books and scholarly articles on colonial architecture of Guatemala and Central America. While researching connections between colonial architecture of Central America and Spain, he discovered Jewish presence.
