Book Description
This handy pocket-sized guide was designed for the English-speaking traveler who may not be familiar with menu terms in French, German, Italian and Spanish. Over 4,000 definitions are arranged in an easy-to-read dictionary format. Dictionaries and laptop translators are too bulky to drag to dinner, PDA translators are too limited, but the European Menu Translator is easy to handle and gives the traveler the information they need. Created by typical English-speaking travelers who wish they’d had this survival guide. You’ll be glad they wrote this for you!

About the Author
The Galbraiths have traveled extensively abroad, and are particularly interested in the history, beauty and culture of the European countries they have visited. Unfortunately, they are not fluent in European languages and have not been confident in interpreting European menus. Anne has food allergies and so being able to understand what is on a menu is very important to her. Some European menus have English translations, but most do not. Waiters may or may not speak English—but even those who do are not always helpful. The Galbraiths looked for a easier way to accomplish translations than lugging around a large language dictionary. Finally, they came to the conclusion that they weren’t the only ones who needed an easy-to-carry, easy to use, multi-lingual menu translator.
