Dream: The Dark Erotic Visions of John Santerineross an Exploration of the Photographic Image as a Manifestation of Dream Iconography - Book Review,
by John Santerineross (Photographer)

Book Description After forcing fans to wait for five years, John Santerineross again proves his genius of dark erotic art as he releases his eagerly anticipated second book of disturbing yet titillating images, entitled "Dream". This sequel to "Fruit of the Secret God" is an exploration of John's dream imagery and iconography through the use of the photographic medium. Hailed as "The leading dark erotic artist of our time" by media, fans and fellow artists, John again demonstrates his intelligence and talent in producing work that is provocative, disturbing and erotic. "Dream" is a 9" x 12" hardcover photography book with dust jacket. 120 full color pages, it includes 50 new and never-before-seen images. Accompanying John's disquieting, sensual images is an introduction offered by underground erotic writer, Nina Hugo and a short story written by artist and writer Bethalynne Bajema.
From the Author Intimidated by the world of shadows, but seduced by the potential of discovery, with expected breath I plunged into the murky well of the unknown- the dark provocative dreams of John Santerineross. My vision at first was cloudy, and my perception unclear. As my eyes adjusted, the darkness dissipated, I found myself lost in a realm of eroticism, religion and restraint. Denying the habitual impulse to retreat from what at first made me uncomfortable, I waded further into a darkness that became warm with evocative musing. The farther I traveled, the more I realized that the world I had entered was not so unfamiliar, but simply another dimension of what I already knew. It seemed now, that the unease I suffered upon entering the realm of John Santerineross had been transmuted. I found myself changed. Wander through this darkness with me along the path Ive tread, and experience for yourself the power that is the imagery of John Santerineross.

About the Author Bethalynne Bajema is a life long Michigan native. She is a self-taught artist from an equally artistic family. She is a prolific writer, who began writing and drawing at an early age. Six years ago she incorporated more elaborate color artwork into her portfolio as a means to illustrate her written work. She favors darker themes, imagery which is as horrific as it is beautiful. She is currently working on an elaborate graphic novel called the Snapdragon Tea. Nina Hugo is a writer who believes that what is erotic is sometimes lost in a world where sex is often given too broad a meaning and too shallow a purpose. Fearing that most have fallen away from getting lost in written word, Nina would like to entice others to reacquaint themselves with that pleasure. Through her writing, she hopes to arouse awareness, provoke thought and introduce others to the more subliminal recesses of sexuality.
