Sleeping with Your Gynecologist - Book Review,
by Marc Jaffe

Cleveland Plain Dealer, May 2000 Funny. Hysterical even.
The Island Sun, May 2000 A funny charming and most original book.
Book Description What do you get when a Seinfeld writer marries an OB/GYN? A doctor with a funny delivery. Actually, lots of funny deliveries. Marc Jaffe's job was coming up with hysterical stories for Seinfeld, but nothing was funnier than the stories his gynecologist wife would tell. So, he decided to write this laugh-a-page book about life married to an Ob/gyn. It includes all the crazy stories his wife tells about: * Flying Placentas * Sex toy parties * Immaculate conceptions * Intimate tattoos * Ridiculous 4:00 am phone calls...and more comical incidents of gynecologic and obstetric intrigue. While sleeping with your gynecologist would be wrong, reading Sleeping With Your Gynecologist is very right.
From the Publisher Why should we say anything when these people say it so much better: PAUL REISER says: "Marc is a very funny writer. I laughed till it hurt. And then I stopped. Because who wants to be in pain from a book? But as soon as the pain subsided I jumped back in and read some more. Your try. But for God's sake, don't hurt yourself." DENNIS MILLER: "Jaffe is a laugh riot and he needs to be stepped on hard by Mayor Daley's men." BOB SAGET: I read everything Marc Jaffe writes. I couldn't put his book down. I was naked and needed to cover up with something." DR. NANCY JOHNSON OB/GYN: "Many years of a gynecology practice exposes one to the intimacies, joys and grief in the most private of moments. Marc Jaffe has taken many of those opportunities to share with us the light-heartedness necessary to maintain sanity for both patient and physician. We thank him."
About the Author Marc Jaffe walks five miles to work each day, in the snow, just so he can write comedy. This is a little odd since he has an office in his home in Cleveland, but we all have our nueroses. Work of Marc's that you may have come across include: Several Seinfeld episodes - most memorably the one where Elaine accidentally exposes here nipple on a Christmas card; his nationally syndicated humor column "The Quiz and Stuff"; his stand-up comedy performances on numerous TV shows and comedy club stages around the country; or by unwittingly hearing his voice on any of hundreds of radio and television commercials. Marc is raising three daughters with only one wife to support him. When not reveling in the joys of family, Marc finds solace in the music of Thelonious Monk, yard work and fervent worship of the Cleveland Indians.
