Historical Deception: The Untold Story of Ancient Egypt
- Book Review,
by Moustafa Gadalla

Midwest Book Review
Historical Deception: The Untold Story Of Ancient Egypt provides a fresh, exciting and reader-friendly study of ancient Egyptian history -- a history which has suffered from the ingrained prejudices of religious scholars (Christian, Jewish, Moslem) who deny that Egypt is the source of their creeds (especially monotheism); and rationalist scholars denying the existence of science and philosophy prior to the Greeks. Historical Deception is a much needed correction to a great deal of historical distortion, suppression and denial. Historical Deception is a lively, engaging, stimulating, provocative reading, easy to read and difficult to put down.

Book Description
This book provides a fresh, exciting, and reader-friendly study of the Ancient Egyptian history, which has suffered and continues to suffer from ingrained prejudices. The book, therefore, brings to light: A. Historical events that have been ignored by many Egyptologists because of the risk of contradicting popular religions. Scholars have been unsuccessfully looking for historical evidence to support the biblical accounts of events and their major characters. This book provides the evidence that these scholars continue to search in the wrong country and the wrong eras. The facts presented in this book are simple, straightforward and stunning, showing that the major characters in the Bible were actually Egyptian Pharaohs, and not the enemies of Egypt. B. The advanced level of the Ancient Egyptian civilization, such as: - The high status of women, which has not been equalled throughout history, even in present times. - The Egyptian spiritual roots of George Washington, Napoleon and Mozart. All these famous people were masons, whose rites, knowledge, and traditions originated in Ancient Egypt. - The Ancient Egyptian calendar - the most accurate ever--past and present. - Their medical knowledge about determining the sex of the unborn child. - Their knowledge and use of the different types of antibiotics. - Their superior medicine. A single prescription included as many as 35 different ingredients. - Their advanced knowledge in science, technology, metals and industry.

FROM THE PUBLISHER

The book contains 47 chapters, covering many topics with interesting issues, such as the Egyptian medical knowledge about determining the sex of the unborn, and much, much more.

FROM THE CRITICS

Reviewers Bookwatch

he Bible has tarnished the history of ancient Egypt and has fostered ongoing strife in the Middle East: so maintains Gadalla, who provides a book which tells the historical facts of encounters between the Israelites and ancient Egypt. The author is a native Egyptian and independent Egyptologist who has spent decades studying Egyptian antiquities: this provides an unusual contrast to conventional Egyptian studies.

Saxton Book Reviews

Gadalla uses his knowledge to explain in simple terms the Egyptian religion, culture, social life, the true role of the Pharaohs, architecture, metallurgy, science and mathematics, their accurate calendar, and many other facets of their culture....Again, all of his claims are supported by well-crafted reasoning and evidence. But as Americans, our fascination with Egypt is largely based on Biblical accounts of interaction between the Hebrews and this ancient land. And as our view is the Hebrew view, it is largely negative. Gadalla combined Bible facts and Egyptian history to give a broader interpretation of Biblical events, such as the sojourn of Abraham in Egypt, the selling of Joseph into slavery and emergence as father to Pharaoh, and the Exodus...The one-third of the book that deals with the Bible is well worth the purchase price.
