The flow chart (Figure 1, page 4) will yield a good answer in most situations. Realize that it is all but impossible to come up with a greywater system which is simultaneously inexpensive, ecological, easy to use, legal and efficient. However, by sacrificing some of these parameters, the others can be satisfied. There are a large number of possible combinations of benefits and drawbacks, one or more of which will likely be a good fit for a particular situation...
