The Prints of Robert Motherwell: Catalogue Raisonne 1943-1990
- Book Review,
by Stephanie Terenzio, Dorothy C. Belknap

From Library Journal
This retrospective look at the printmaking activities of the late Abstract Expressionist painter Motherwell is the third, expanded edition of a work previously published in 1980 and 1984. This edition includes an introduction to Motherwell's art, interviews with important collaborators, and a catalogue raisonne of his graphic work in every medium back to 1943 (over 100 new works completed since the last edition have been added). A biographical outline of the artist's life and a list of all his exhibitions is appended. With the exception of a series of book illustrations, which are too small to be properly appreciated, the book is beautifully bound and printed. Recommended for large art collections.- Stephen Rees, Bucks Cty. Free Lib., Levittown, Pa.Copyright 1991 Reed Business Information, Inc.
