ALF R. Bjercke's Norway FROM THE PUBLISHER

The globetrotting grand old man of Rotary International, the Worldwide Fund for Wildlife and Norway's Olympic committee, Bjercke has also been Tunisia's honorary consul-general in Oslo for over 25 years. He does justice to the Vikings, who are not dismissed as barbarians but depicted as accomplished town-planners and farmers, boatbuilders, craftsmen and jewellers of great skill.
